Being a fan of the Nespresso brand for their premium-feeling coffee drove me to Café Nespresso in Bank. This aesthetically pleasing venue looked amazing, but was it any good? Time to find out...

Ambience & Décor
The contemporary, chic and trendy interior is in keeping with its area. The café looks elegant and yet corporate at the same time; perfect for business or pleasure. The left hand side is the chill out section, complete with quirky low hanging lighting and comfy sofas. The most striking feature is the rear wall acting as one gigantic storage cupboard for thousands of Nespresso coffee capsules (below), which customers can purchase using the electronic system at foot of the wall.
During my time, there were plenty of coffee aficionados purchasing their favourite capsules in neatly wrapped packages from the enormous selection.
There was a smattering of people, and given I was here to meet a friend, it was a nice, quiet and civilised setting to do so. Due to the off-peak hour of the meet up, I expected Café Nespresso to be sedate.
Service
The service here was nothing to shout about, primarily because it is as you expect.
Food
I ordered from their Gourmet recipes section, and decided to go for an almond coffee. It was essentially a latte with almond syrup and whipped cream on top, served with almond biscotti on the side. It was quite a sweet coffee given the syrup, but it was so nice and refreshing to consume. The biscotti was beautifully made.
This is one London’s trendiest locations, and I would come back again. This Café can cater to all your needs, and I characterise it as a timeless classic. The food is expensive, so will stick to the liquids. Given its locale, the price is not surprising, and to be honest, I would pay the premium on balance. Next time, I think I will have a freshly made pastry with my coffee, as they looked amazing! Solid B rating.
