Daily Provisions on paper does not sound original; a small chain of Parisian-style cafes selling cakes, bread, artisanal pastries, and other selection of lunch options. Yet, Daily Provisions had rave reviews. Was it any good? Time to find out...

Ambience & Décor
The branch near the Summit One Vanderbilt was styled like a Parisian café with light-coloured interiors, big windows letting in natural light and kerbside wrought-iron tables and chairs. It was a welcoming, minimalist, and stylish interior, with the typical glass cases showing off their wares. It was a café at non-peak time, so just a smattering of people.
Service
Service was nondescript and nothing out of the ordinary. Given it was my first time, they were nice and helpful when it came to selecting lunch options.
Food
For lunch I had the Chicken Salad Sandwich (see left) which was Chicken salad, paprika mayonnaise, pickles, spinach, and arugula on seeded bread. I added bacon to this for the crunch, and it was honestly, one of the best sandwiches I have had. Every ingredient in this sandwich complemented each other. The only downsides were that each bite was too big to be dignified, and towards the end, the Rye bread was breaking down due to the wetness from the filling. All in all, it was wholesome and fulfilling, but it was expensive at $16.
Daily Provisions have carved out a niche for serving the best crullers – they are a deep-fried pastry like a doughnut, and the French version at Daily Provisions was a ring-shaped, fluted doughnut made from choux pastry that ensured it was light and fluffy. The Cinnamon Cruller (see above) was their signature, and it was delightful. The cruller was light, fluffy, and bursting with cinnamon flavour. Overall, Daily Provisions may look like a bog-standard Parisian café, yet it is anything but, and hence gets an A rating.
