Heavenly Desserts (Stratford) Pt.II (London)

Updated: Feb 11

I came to Heavenly Desserts once before and I was amazed by the quality of the desserts. They were indeed heavenly. Wanting to try more of the delectable selection, I went back. Was it still any good? Time to find out…

Lotus Biscoff Cheesecake

Ideal for:

  • Impressing your date

  • Dessert lovers

  • Cheat days

Ambience & Décor

Despite being the in the midst of COVID-19, the ambience was expectedly flat. The décor was nice and plush, and one got the vibe this was a bit more upmarket than your usual dessert place. Overall, it was a very nice, relaxed place to eat.

Service

The waiter that served us adhered to all social distancing guidelines so there was nothing really to shout about.

Food

Lotus Biscoff Cheesecake

My love for Lotus Biscoff desserts steered me towards the Lotus Biscoff Cheesecake (see right). The cheesecake’s presentation made me salivate as it was dowsed in caramel sauce, with a plethora of crushed Biscoff biscuits sprinkled atop. Once you hit the cheesecake, it was a soft, luscious vanilla cheesecake full of rich vanilla flavour. It was simply incredible with each spoonful as impressive as the last. Thankfully the portion was manageable, as this much decadence would overpower. I was in dessert heaven from which I reluctantly came back down to earth once I finished the last morsel.

For sub £5, this dessert was great value. Heavenly Desserts on the whole is more pricey than the run-of-the-mill dessert place, but for me, the décor, service and quality of the food justified the slightly higher prices. If Biscoff is not your thing, the quite extensive menu is sure to cater to all palates. Once again, Heavenly has knocked it out of the park, and because of that, I am giving Heavenly Desserts an A+ rating.

Final grade: A+

Final comment: Cracking dessert place that I feel everyone should visit.
